Weekend Camping

The troop usually schedules a weekend camping trip once a month. Typically, the PLC will choose the activity first and then pick the location. Our camping trips have included mountain biking, zip-lining, canoeing/kayaking, backpacking, hiking, caving, swimming and tubing, fishing, pioneering, wilderness survival and rock climbing.

High Adventure

Older scouts (usually 14 and up) have the opportunity to experience more challenging, exciting outdoor adventures. Troop 608 scouts have hiked Pikes Peak and climbed in Red River Canyon at Outback High Adventure in Lake George, CO, canoed 50 miles near the Canadian border at Northern Tier in Ely, MN, hiked 100 miles of the West Highland Way in Scotland and gone scuba diving in the Bahamas
